Could your site(s) host Electric Vehicle charging stations?

NSW Government
The NSW Government’s Department of Planning, Industry & Environment are seeking potential locations to host public access Electric Vehicle (EV) fast charging stations across NSW, especially in rural and regional areas.

Find out how YOUR site(s) could become a fully funded public EV fast charging location…

With electric vehicle (EV) ownership expected to increase substantially over the coming years, we’re investing $131 million to create a world class fast charging network across the state and we want you to get involved.

We are looking for sites in NSW that could become EV fast charging site locations, helping NSW become the easiest place to buy and use an EV.

Hosting public EV fast chargers could attract more visitors and increase their time at your site, helping your site stand out from competitors. Read our site host prospectus to discover more about how becoming a public EV fast charging site could benefit your business, as well as site suitability and host responsibilities.

We are particularly interested in sites within optimal zones on our NSW EV fast charging master plan map, but want all interested parties to complete an expression of interest. Your site details will then be exclusively provided to charging providers, who install and operate EV charging stations, to discuss your site further.

Accelerate your fleet’s transition to EVs

We’re investing $105 million to help private businesses, not-for-profits and local councils fast-track their transition to EVs. The Drive electric NSW EV fleets incentive will help bridge the cost for fleets to transition their passenger, light commercial and sports utility vehicles to battery or fuel cell EVs. The incentive will be offered through a reverse auction process, with bidding rounds open around every 6 months until the end of 2024.
To find out more about the reverse auction bidding process, join us for our not-to-be-missed online information session tomorrow, Tuesday 30 November at 10am to find out more.

Sharing Stories: Charging ahead to an electric future

Sustainability champion, Anthony Weinberg is the driving force behind the Eastern Suburbs Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station Network, the first network of its type in Sydney. It’s making EV ownership easier than ever and in the last 2 years, has offset 33,000 kilowatt hours of electricity – the equivalent to nearly 95,000 kilometres of travel!

Based on the current uptake of EVs, Anthony believes the communities’ greenhouse gas emissions can be reduced by 6 percent – a pretty significant saving!
