Yarrabee Park, located 23kms from Narrandera, is one step closer to hosting the largest Solar Farm in NSW. It will be big enough to power a city of almost a million people.
The Yarrabee solar farm will have a lifespan of about 30 years and will connect to the grid via a new 300 kilovolt substation to be built next to the existing Wagga Wagga to Darlington Point transmission line.
“The project will significantly increase our energy capacity while contributing to a cleaner energy future for our state –- a win win,” NSW energy minister Don Harwin said.
